The Indigo Mornings emblem: a woman in a block-printed dress facing the sea

Made the slow way.

The block

Every print starts as a drawing, traced and carved in mirror image into seasoned teak. One block per motif, one motif at a time.

The printing

The printer dips the block in color, lines it up by eye, and presses. Again, a hand's width along. A single dress can take hundreds of impressions.

The cotton

We use 100% cotton — soft, breathable, and made to be worn on warm mornings and washed for years.

The small imperfections are the signature.

The name

Indigo has colored Indian textiles for thousands of years. We make clothes for the quietest part of the day. Hence, Indigo Mornings.
